Need help making sense of the latest cable triple play deals
I just moved and I am seeking a little assistance in choosing ideal add-ons from Comcast or seeing if I should select satellite and utilize my local telco for telephone. There are many features and products that they all have, but on the surface Comcast looks like it has the most. I am not sure yet if I should break up all three digital services and use other providers. Although i just heard that the phone service provider in my local area offers digital TV, I think it's way too costly. Although satellite initially appears to have the lower price, adding channel packages will drive your rates up rapidly. Comcast has a pretty big basic lineup and a huge digital expanded tier that's not much more money.
Plus, the channel lineup for Comcast’s HD is bigger than satellite’s lineup. I do not own an HDTV at this point, but when I do purchase one, it would be helpful to be prepared. Comcast boasts local and long distance calls over their digital voice service at a flat rate as well. My local telephone company is offering new deals in order to be competitive, but they haven't offered flat rate national calling yet. I don't have any issues' with their service, but getting the same size bill each month would be nice.
At the present time, I have DSL as my broadband connection. I can't complain as it does what it's supposed to, but some of my pals have got internet using a cable connection and it works much faster than mine. I could use some extra speed because I'm a PC and Xbox gamer.
It seems that Comcast has a pretty good high speed service also. If I want extremely fast download speeds, I can order the next tier over basic. If I choose to bundle three services through Comcast by utilizing their triple play package it appears as if I will be able to save quite a bit of money when compared with ordering the three services separately.
Does anybody who has utilized these services have any suggestions?
